America has a serious problem with pharmaceutical costs. This issue is gaining bipartisan support, with even President Trump recently announcing support for prescription price controls.
Big Pharma companies in America seem to have no issue charging exorbitant fees for prescriptions. For Big Pharma they can get away with gouging because most of the time there is no legal penalty. Occasionally, when a big time prescription which is necessary to preserve life is jacked up someone gets punished, like “Big Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli for instance. Most of the time, it goes unnoticed and medicines like HCG, Human chorionic gonadotropin, get price gouged 3000% because gouging these lesser known medications won’t make headlines like gouging HIV treatments.
If you went into a CVS, Walgreen’s or any other American pharmacy to attempt to get this expect sticker shock. When I tried at 3 of the biggest American pharmacies, I was quoted prices for a few months supply ranging from $2,000 to over $3,000. Making things even more frustrating was that my new insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield decided that after 6 months of taking this that it should now be denied. Hooray America! MAGA right?
Hooray for the Internet and India Actually
One of the good things about less developed nations like India is that prescriptions are cheap there, the same prescriptions we are buying here are actually made in India in my case. This means the middle man selling via CVS is jacking the price up on a drug that they neither make or market, that is pure American price gouging through and through.
Thanks to the internet, I don’t have to buy from American pharma like CVS, Walgreens or Walmart. I can go online and purchase HCG for $28!
Where can you get HCG and your supplies for less than $100? Not Amazon and definitely not locally.
